Giving to charities: when you give to charities, do you know if the charity
is assisting the recipients to be: responsible, accountable, preserve their
dignity and become productive? Or does the charity assist in derode these
qualities in their recipients thus making them even more dependent? Does the
charities focus on educating its recipients? (Dr Demartini)

Now that's what I am talking about! A very decisive manager made the
decision, no faffing around, to have Step Up! International in to do some
self harm training and consultancy work on self harming pupils or pupils
self harming as they needed self harm help for teachers and support staff.

Had my first morning walk this morning for nearly a year. Felt absolutely
fantastic and refreshing! Passersby had the pleasure of me singing too :-)

I contacted one of my best clients today and they've told me that they had
to release 4 staff last week! I've put off asking them about my next
assignment. Cameron you really need to do much better!!!! People losing
their jobs for the government to mop up its own mess is simply not on!!

My son's off on his Duke of Edinburgh camping trip tomorrow. His rucksack is
sure heavy!!!

What's your favourite parenting tool or strategy that works for you every
time?

TOP TIP: How to help people to untangle their mixed up feelings: - Restate
their problem as a question like this: 'So the Question seems to be: How do
you express that you are feeling unloved at home without self harming?'

A parent being forced to do parenting programmes doesn't necessarily work!
If the parent is not willing to embrace the learning on the programmes, just
like any other course, they are wasting their time. The emphasis for me is
to work with the parent in respect of the ROOT CAUSE of their challenges.
Inadequate or inappropriate parenting is simply a SYMPTOM of what is going
on at the root cause or root level.

As I am making my sales calls for the past couple of days, it appears that
the rise in self harm in young people is increasing to the extent where
staff are both overwhelmed and baffled at the same time, as to what would
lead them to self harm in the way that they do.

Oh Lord, Bless our YOUNG PEOPLE from us 'adults' who can't do, won't do,
should do, shouldn't do, refuse to do, that which we expect and tell our
young people to do!, BUT wish we (adults) could do!

Oh and yeah, help us adults to develop the COURAGE to do that which we
expect our young to do.

Often adults talk about young people not taking responsibility for their
actions. Often adults haven't shown young people HOW to take responsibility!
That is, adults haven't lead the way or been a good role model for young
people to learn how to take responsibility. Adults? = parents, teachers,
society as a whole

Off to another Easy Tiger Parents Programme on this sunny day. Some parents
on this particular programme thought that there were only a couple ways of
disciplining their children. Thankfully, as a result of this Programme they
are wiser about the many choices they have including looking at ALTERNATIVES
to punishment
